Subscriptions, packages and bookings are three different workflows
Separate payment, entitlement and appointment availability before selling services online. Use a clear model for packages, cancellations and calendars.

Buying a package does not automatically reserve an appointment. A subscription does not necessarily mean automatic card charging. Define payment, access and scheduling separately so the customer knows what they have bought.
Name what the customer is buying.
A four-session package can be paid once and used over time. A subscription can provide a service for a period. A booking reserves a particular slot. One offer may combine all three, but the system still needs to track each separately.
| Record | Answers this question |
|---|---|
| Payment | Was the amount collected, failed or refunded? |
| Entitlement | What service or remaining package balance can this customer use? |
| Appointment | Which time and person are reserved? |
Consider a rescheduled session.
A customer buys four sessions, books one and then asks to move it. Decide when a credit is used, whether a late cancellation consumes it and who can make an exception. Refunding a payment should not silently leave a valid booking behind.
Calendar connections also need a clear owner for availability. Check time zones, staff absences and simultaneous attempts to reserve the same slot. A connection logo does not prove those cases have been handled.
Özge Aykır: services organised around packages and appointments.
Our work for dietitian Özge Aykır brings packages, subscriptions and booking functionality into the business website, with calendar synchronisation. The example shows why the selling flow must reflect how the service is delivered. For a new project, the billing model needs to be agreed separately from the package and appointment rules.

Make the rules visible before purchase.
Show what is included, how long it is valid, how a time is booked and how changes are handled. If automatic renewal is part of the offer, explain it explicitly and verify support with the selected payment provider. Stripe documents recurring billing separately; a recurring product label alone is not a payment integration.
