ECOMMERCE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

How we work: the stages of an online store project

Building an online store goes through five stages: discovery, design, build, testing and launch, then growth. You see and approve the work at every stage.

How we get from idea to launch.

Phases can overlap. Timing depends on the scope, data readiness, integrations and feedback; we set the schedule for your project rather than promise one duration for every store.

01

Understand

We talk about your products, customers, current store or idea and priorities. You then receive a proposal with scope, phases and responsibilities. The first conversation is free and without obligation.

02

Design

We design the key pages — home, category, product, cart and checkout — and the content structure. You approve the direction before the build.

03

Build

We build the store, develop the agreed features and connect it with payments, delivery and the other systems you need. You review progress in a test environment.

04

Verify and launch

We test orders, payments and delivery, and check content and data. Then we launch the store and show you how to manage it.

05

Learn and improve

After launch we follow feedback, fix issues and plan the next improvements together with you.

What we need from you.

Someone who can make decisions, accurate product and business information, access to relevant systems and timely feedback. We identify content owners and acceptance criteria together. If scope changes, we discuss the impact before starting the additional work.

Review points, not surprises.

You review the proposed scope, the key designs and a working preview before launch. We record decisions and changes so everyone knows what is included. Launch includes purchase-flow checks and a handover; ongoing development is planned with you afterwards.

A little more clarity.

Can our designer or marketing team be involved?

Yes. We agree responsibilities, share the relevant design and review materials, and coordinate feedback with your existing team.

How long does it take to build an online store?

Timing depends on the scope, how ready your products and content are, the integrations and how quickly feedback comes back. We give a realistic estimate after reviewing the project, and the proposal sets out phases, review points and the planned launch.

What would you like your store to do better?

Show us what you sell, what you have in mind and where you are getting stuck. We will work through the options with you.
