Cookie policy

Which cookies and similar storage alphabite.io uses, why, how long they last and how to change your choice. Analytics and advertising only run if you accept them.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing in those categories loads until you accept, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. We keep your choice for 180 days. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics and advertising cookies set on this site and reload the page.

Essential storage

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across sites.

NEXT_LOCALE (cookie)

Remembers your language. Kept for 1 year.

alphabite:measurement-consent:v1 (local storage)

Remembers your cookie choice. Kept for 180 days.

alphabite-theme (local storage)

Remembers light or dark mode, if you choose one. Kept until you clear it.

alphabite-chat-draft (session storage)

Keeps an unsent message in the project assistant while the tab is open. Removed after 24 hours or when you close the tab.

alphabite_assistant (cookie)

Keeps the result of the chat’s security check. Kept for 30 minutes.

alphabite_support (cookie)

Lets you return to your conversation in the project assistant. Kept for 30 days.

alphabite:store-upgrade:draft:v1 (local storage)

Keeps your answers while you fill in the programme application. Deleted when you send it, or after 7 days.

Analytics (only with consent)

Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how the site is used. Clarity records visits (clicks, scrolling and page movement) so we can find usability problems. Form fields and the chat panel are masked in those recordings.

_ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics)

Distinguish visitors and sessions. Kept for up to 2 years.

_clck (Microsoft Clarity)

Keeps the same Clarity user ID across visits. Kept for 1 year.

_clsk (Microsoft Clarity)

Links page views into one recorded session. Kept for 1 day.

Advertising (only with consent)

On our store-upgrade programme page, advertising pixels measure which ads bring visitors and applications. They only load if you allow advertising measurement.

_fbp (Meta)

Measures and personalises Meta ads. Kept for 90 days.

_ttp (TikTok)

Measures TikTok ads. Kept for up to 13 months.

_gcl_* (Google Ads)

Attributes visits to Google Ads, where configured. Kept for 90 days.

Security and more information

Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for automated abuse and is needed for the forms to work. Google, Microsoft, Meta and TikTok process data under their own policies. Our privacy policy explains how we handle enquiry information and your rights. Questions: info@alphabite.io.
